Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the PinballStrats mobile application (the "App") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We designed PinballStrats to be private by default: the core experience works offline and does not require you to provide personal information.
1. Information we collect
Data you create on your device
Your machine selections, playfield annotations, and personal strategies are stored locally on your device. This on-device data stays on your device unless you choose to publish a strategy to the community.
Account information
You can start using PinballStrats anonymously. When you choose to use community features, we create an account for you through our authentication provider. If you upgrade an anonymous account, we may process an email address you provide to secure and identify the account. We do not sell this information.
Community content
When you publish a strategy, the strategy content and associated metadata (such as its author account identifier and install/report counts) are stored on our servers so other users can discover and install it.
Moderation and abuse-prevention data
To keep the community safe, we process reports you file, records of content that has been reported or taken down, and limited technical signals used to enforce rate limits and prevent abuse. Moderation audit records are retained without personal identifiers.
Diagnostic data
We may process limited, aggregated, non-identifying technical information to keep the service reliable. We do not use this to build advertising profiles.
2. How we use information
- To provide and maintain the App and its community features.
- To authenticate your account and secure access to your data.
- To publish, discover, and install community strategies.
- To review reports, moderate content, and prevent abuse.
- To diagnose problems and improve reliability.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How information is stored and shared
Cloud data is stored using our backend and infrastructure provider, which processes data on our behalf. We share information only as needed to operate the service, comply with the law, or protect the rights and safety of our users. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Data retention
On-device data is retained until you delete it or uninstall the App. Account and community data are retained while your account is active. Moderation audit records that contain no personal identifiers may be retained as needed for safety and compliance.
5. Deleting your account and data
You can delete your account at any time from within the App (Profile → Danger zone → Delete account). Deleting your account performs a hard delete of your cloud profile, your published community strategies (including their install and report records), reports you have filed, and your authentication record. Local data on your device is also removed. Aggregated, non-identifying records and moderation audit entries that do not reference you may be retained. Deletion is final and cannot be undone.
6. Children's privacy
PinballStrats is not directed to children under the age required by your jurisdiction, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You can exercise deletion directly in the App, or contact us atsupport@pinballstrats.com for other requests.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated through the App or this page.
